A week gone by...

Ah...the first week back to school done and dusted. Phew...

It's been a week of:

-later hours (for the next six weeks I finish work at 18.45 tues, wed and thurs - not ideal for taking on extra work)
- but also later starts (more morning time to potter and plan)
- my general students huffing and puffing over the later hours (yeah, you and me both kid!)
- but my other students surprising me by being somewhat refreshed and ready to get down to work. Also, since the holidays I can really notice an improvement in their English speaking so thumbs up to that.
-new faces at work with new teachers
-breaking resolutions...I caved and had my first glass of wine after 12 days...it was only meant to be a month of abstinence...and it was more for stomach reasons than anything (could I be slightly allergic?)...oh well!
- The Full Monty. We've been doing 'Movies' this week so we're watching the film...watched it last term with another class too...it is a classic and it doesn't get tiresome.
- nice guests (regular guests who will be coming one or two days every week for a while...along with their poorly ancient Alsatian, so the house is quite lively)
-The Misfits. The housemate has introduced me to this Channel 4 series - brilliant theme tune, interesting concept of Asbo kids with superpowers...very British!
-Za Za Bazaar. Europe's largest restaurant. Just tried it out tonight and I have to say...it was pretty good. It's just opened in Bristol and it is an all you can eat jobbie but it is much better than Cosmo and I'd go there for the cheesy (cinema-esq style) nachos alone...
-swinging like a pendulum back and forth (to leave or not to leave Bristol...tbc)
-some exploration. I went to see the Wildlife photography exhibition at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery (very good) and I climbed Cabot Tower to snaps some pretty excellent views of the city...

Not a bad week all in all...How about you? xxx

I need to watch Misfits, keep hearing people saying lots of good things about it!

Don't leave Bristol, I really want to come and see you, I'm just not going to be able to do it for a couple of months! Stay! For me. That's totally reasonable.

PS. I love list posts. They're one of my favourites.
