Random graffiti fair on down the road today... I was on my way to the supermarket to pick up some supplies in preparation for next week (when we host our pop-up buffet). Today has been a lazy day. On Thursday night I only had 1 hours sleep with the student graduation (more on that later I think when I get a moment in a separate post...it is ten past midnight already).
Graffiti is quite a big thing here in Bristol which I really like. I've already shown you some photos of Quay Street which is a boring side road in the centre full of 60's concrete which they totally revamped with art. Wonder what came first: the council's genuine appreciation for graffiti or the council's recognition of Banksy as a tourist selling point and then an appreciation for graffiti? Probably the latter...
Anyway...its been a day of deli snacks and watching A Very Long Engagement which was also a very long film as I kept pausing it to do other chores and potter...I'm terrible at watching a film on my own. I get so easily distracted. It is a good film though but I had to sometimes pause to read the subtitles as it was a little complicated. Anything to do with WW1 has my attention these days...
The rain has finally arrived this evening and I think our festival day tomorrow (Love Saves the Day) is going to be a bit underwhelming because of it...Still, it is the first week of the year that I have had off and sod the weather as I'm off to Barcelona on Monday anyway.
If I get a chance I'll write again otherwise it is going to be like sort of CuriousCat Omnibus at the end of the week...I imagine there will be lots to tell! xxx
