Shoe update

This may not be the most interesting subject but I wanted to share nonetheless!

Remember my worn out boots? Well, yesterday the heel of one fell off. Seeing as I'm about to start summer school with no free time and the weather looks set to be sh*t, this was a major problem. I don't have any other waterproof footwear...

So, fortunately, I had today off so I ran down to town and to a nearby cobblers. He sorted out my problem in half an hour. However, I thought he would be a good person to ask about shoes as his trade is obviously fixing them.

It would seem these days - whether you pay £10 for a shoe or £200, the common method is to create a heel out of compressed cardboard. No wonder these babies fall apart so easily! It is ridiculous!

So people, when you buy your shoes from now on, investigate. You don't want these kind of heels. You want rubber or leather or something else if possible if you want long lasting shoes. Just a suggestion but I know I will be more careful next time!
